BERTHa was a pirate with a great big pirate’s
CHEST – of treasure. She’d oft berate her saucy mates with
LOFTY views, which would state treasure chests were Bertha’s, and
FEIGN what you like, or grate your teeth, you’d never see a piece of real estate.
LOFTY perch, topgallant royal, sea at every horizon,
FEIGN stoic, yet feel all thrill, fear, wonder,
CHEST below with unread books, I read this height, this view.
BERTH is only for sleep: my heart dwells here.
BERTH on the ship cost a life’s savings
CHEST to store your things
REIGN over the seas challenged by
LOFTY-minded, insurrectionist ice.

UNDID all my former thoughts on baseball.
ARTSY: pretense of person or society’s dread at creativity?
UNDID we high school typology, truly beholding beholders, could be
LE[A]NT new beauty to seekers of beauty? Let difference surpass wilful difference?
AMEND! Plead to cherish all, the same and the different.
ARTSY craftsman
UNDID his smock,
LEANT against the doorframe:
“AMEN! Done!” with a sigh of relief.
