Nice! I’ve noticed that often, the “fewer words” quordle poems have a certain punch. I’m not good at them.
Thanks! I like the mix of lengths from the various poets here.
Peter Leithart said, “Poetry is a concentrated excess of language. Concentrated because it always means more than it says. Excessive because it always says more than it needs to say, because in many cases it need not be said at all.”
Few words or many, we still say more than the mere words with both gravity and levity. I love that about poetry, and I think it’s well represented here.
The variety of our different contributors is one of the joys of this small “discipline”.
