Thanks! I originally wanted to work in a line about Patrick driving out the snakes and a last glance at Stonehenge, but the pedant in me was afraid of anachronism.
It didn’t come through as clearly as I wanted, but I had in mind missionaries driving out the Old Ways like the disruption in Ephesus when the silversmiths were in danger of going out of business.
Ah. I missed the Patrick allusion.
There wasn’t anything to miss; it didn’t make the final edition. I started down that road, but ended up going in a slightly different direction.
Well, it was there just very oblique!
