I think you have the most ease of stream of consciousness with words of us all, by which I don’t mean randomness, but just letting the words lead into each other and seeing where they go.
Yup that’s pretty much the technique! LOL…
There’s something about the limitations of having to use particular words that forces me to go hiving off somewhere unexpected. I remember doing a poem once that had to have a few particular words and phrases in it – came out with a quite surprising jolt of an ending…
