PUPAL under the earth doesn’t like
UNDUE attention, waiting for springtime.
FUGUE in my own self-awareness, waiting for the new:
GRAPH me somewhere on the bell curve of self-doubting.
ludic verbosity for the win
PUPAL under the earth doesn’t like
UNDUE attention, waiting for springtime.
FUGUE in my own self-awareness, waiting for the new:
GRAPH me somewhere on the bell curve of self-doubting.
PUPAL, Chrysalis state rather, now fulfilled by humble birth.
UNDUE any restraint–all is transformed, and exaltation owed.
FUGUE had run to dissonance, now toward harmony begins to mend.
GRAPH, a sign, a Word, truth and grace made flesh today.
UNDER a post-pandemic fog
INERT minds
HUNCH over tiny screens, gaze unwavering, lacking the curiosity or compliance or courtesy they
OUGHT
INERT on my couch with beer and Pringles I have a
HUNCH I had something important to do today, I
OUGHT to check my calendar but it’s
UNDER that stack of unopened mail, and I can’t even.
I have this slow-steaming HUNCH
UNDER my barely streaming mind that I
OUGHT to get up and make something of
the day, but I’m prone to be INERT.
INERT or noble gas, so-called for aloof sufficiency.
HUNCH: the Greeks or Buddhists affected naming.
OUGHT non-connection, non-involvement be deemed noble?
UNDER suffering’s duress, monads beckon serenely—serene as the void.
PIPER does his duty where
WIGHT might prowl,
CHEEK filling then exhaling with
VIGOR as mourners listen, remembering.
The
PIPER who played on the Isle of
WIGHT played with such a Celtic
VIGOR I had no choice but to give him
CHEEK. He blew a bagpipe raspberry at me.
PIPER on stereo entoning Scotland the Brave; where is my courage?
WIGHT still shimmers by the stump in the yard. Rubbing my
CHEEK, I feel warmth. Yet, stump is frozen, your life, your
VIGOR hidden above. I await the great thaw.
This is a continuation of my post from yesterday.
“PIPER”? The Piper at the Gates of Dawn?
WIGHT, you have been there, seen Him, heard his flute,
CHEEK so enaired to play, to smile? What great
VIGOR this must give you, facing weir and trap!
