LARGE larch, back of the garden, seems to be
LEECHing sap, sadly. I don’t see it as tears, I
SHIRK the pseudo-simile. The leeching leaves a

LARGE ants,
LEECH filled puddles,
MUDDY sidewalks: these can’t make me
SHIRK my quest. There’d better be Wi-Fi, though.
MUDDY, swampy waters hide dangers
LARGE and small;
LEECH and caiman lurk quietly,
SHIRK warnings and you’ll fall.

COVER me quickly,
AUDIT my speech, you
ENDOW me with blessings, sweet bird, through your
TWEETs.
ENDOW skill, senses, for living anew, I plead.
TWEETs, hyper ephemeral form, form of
COVER-in everything the meaning’s veiled,
AUDIT can only document traces of what has vanished.
AUDIT the forest from
TWEET to rustle, mossy floor to leafy
COVER, and hear the steady choruses
ENDOWed with honor and glory.

Does it
RECUR to you – or even occur to you – that I’m acting
SHYLY because while you eat your
DONUT – your sometimes spelt ‘doughnut’ – you
GNASH your teeth. How is that even possible?
DONUTs in the parking lot late one winter night,
GNASHes of stress fall away, dissolved in moment’s joy,
RECURrence is rare, this hidden door to another self.
SHYLY wonder: do others have, not door, but thoroughfare?
