HARSH winter gales, but now sighting refuge of huts,
LADEN from successful hunt, they
SLYLY calculate the changed
RATIO: hope rising with full bellies, fears declining as hunger recedes.

Expanding waistlines

HARSH maybe to criticize plate

LADEN with chicken wings while

SLYLY suggesting weight to height

RATIO less proportional than formerly.

Demand and Supply

SLYLY promising, yet
HARSH is the delivery––the
RATIO of expectation and reality:
LADEN with a shoulder-bending burden.

Misapprehension

SORRY to report that the aging soak who tried to
TOUCH the havoc-maker for twenty dollars
WREAKed the full wrath of the latter’s
SURLY self-centred censure.

Burned Out

SURLY waiter on his tenth day in a row and a

TOUCH of a sarcastic bent not at all

SORRY for the havoc he’s gonna

SURLY bonds of earth to slip, not by travel, rather to transcend,

SORRY human state–yes, its bursts of beauty, yet then

WREAK destruction all about.
“SORRY” has to be more than verbal.
